Exciting casting news for fans of Stranger Things—a new character is about to arrive in Hawkins.

Netflix just announced that Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman's daughter, Maya Hawke, has been cast in Stranger Things 3.

Of his daughter's move into acting, Hawke told People,

"She was always an artist, writing poems, singing songs. She didn't discover acting until junior year of high school. It's one of the most amazing moments of my life watching her in Little Women.

To see your child thrive, and to see her thrive at a profession that you have a lot of respect for, that I've dedicated my life to, I was so proud of her."

According to Variety, Hawke will play a character called Robin who is "bored with her mundane day job.

She seeks excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins."

As fans of the show know only too well, Hawkins is hiding a number of dangerous secrets, and it sounds as though Hawke will waste no time in getting embroiled in the town's mysteries.

Maya Thurman-Hawke is headed to Hawkins as Robin, an "alternative girl". That is her literal character description so get ready for some angst.
