黑夜在黑夜里流淌
栖息的鸟群
什么时候掠过清寂的村庄
乡村一无所有,栀子花开放的季节
你简单的背影是我唯一的风景
和着书桌上钟摆的声音
在我的灵魂里停歇
你的夜晚是否与我的夜晚一样
一生中许多次幸福的苦难
还有许多次苦难的幸福
在夜箫声里
上升成一种高度
每每风起之夜，从嘉陵江的古岸
你款款而来，裙裾飘袂
盈盈满满的是一轮江上明月
照我红豆的相思
你的夜晚是否与我的夜晚一样
夜色孤寂，在沉睡的梦里流动
我的今夜是板桥的一棵瘦竹
杜甫绝句中花朵溅出的眼泪
而心灵的泪水能湿润这薄薄的夜色吗
所有的情绪
隐藏在你淡淡的气息里
温馨如花
把黑夜彻底香透
你的夜晚是否与我的夜晚一样
Is Your Night the Same As Mine
Dark flowed through the night,
When? Did the resting birds,
Flight over the quiet villa,
An empty villa in theseason of Cape Jasmine.
The figure of your back was the only scene in my view,
Together with the sound of a clock on my desk,
Stayed in my memory forever.
Was your night the same as mine?
Many times in the life, joys from sufferings,
And sufferings from joys,
Rising high,
With the music of a flute, played in the night.
Windy evenings on the ancient bank,
Skirt fluttering, you stride along the Jia-Ling River.
The full moon on the river,
Shining on my heart with lovesick.
Is your night the same as mine?
The light of lonely night, drifting in the sounded sleep,
My night, as lonely as the bamboo in Ban-Qiao’s painting,
As sad as the tears of flowers in Du-Fu’s poem.
Tell me, can tears of heart ever wet the flimsy night?
All the thoughts,
Hiding in you faint breaths,
Warm and sweet, as that of a flower,
Penetrating the dark night,
Will your night be the same as mine?

(原作者点评: 我的朋友outtowner把我的这首诗翻译了一下，我个人觉得翻译的非常好！他的翻译使我感动．他的译作在节奏上与原作达到了和谐一致．还有音步上注重了诗歌本身的内在旋律，使其更具有音乐性．从而丰富了原作．尤其是最后一节的译文，能从实际出发，非常细腻地用英语来表达原作中的simile,无论是visual image,还是auditory image ,and kinaesthetic image都用得非常平缓而柔和，他的译文实际上在原文的基础上进行了再创造，从而弥补了原作的缺陷．
实际上翻译就是再创造，但诗歌的翻译尤其是中国诗歌的翻译是一个很艰难的过程．这是因为中国诗歌的情绪尤其是语言表达与英文有很大的不同．外语大都是结构性语言，不象中文那样富于情感和意象化，比如说＂波光粼粼＂，可能我们可以翻译出＂波光＂但无法翻译出＂粼粼＂．但很多翻译者，在翻译诗歌的时候常常把诗歌的意境翻译出来，与原文大相径庭，这样也使翻译走如了另一个极端，也违背的翻译的基本原则.)
