Chinanews, Beijing, December 25 – China is becoming the biggest potential market of helicopters, despite the fact that there are very few helicopters, especially civil helicopters, in China. According to the statistics in late 2004, there were no more than 100 civil helicopters in China, but the demand for civil helicopters will be on the rise in the foreseeable future as China is witnessing steady economic growth. A recent survey shows that the demand for civil helicopters in China will amount to 2,000 in 2010, and 10,000 in 2020. If the average price of civil helicopters is10 million yuan each, then there will be a 100-billion-yuan-scale market in this count by 2020.
