The death toll in a coal mine explosion in China's northwest Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has risen to 76 with another 7 still missing by Tuesday.
The blast ripped through the Shenlong Coal Mine of Fukang County on Monday, when 87 miners were working in the tunnel.
Four workers are known to have survived the tragedy.
Director of the State Administration for Work Safety, Li Yizhong, says there is little chance of survival for the 7 missing miners due to the high density of gas underground.
