The educational activities aim to mark World Population Day, which is on Monday.
Senior legislator Gu Xiulian says that the Chinese government's efforts on AIDS control and prevention should focus more on women.
She also says governments at all levels should do more to increase opportunities for female AIDS patients to receive treatment.
Official figures show that there are an estimated 840 thousand AIDS victims in China. The proportion of women patients is on the rise, taking up about a quarter of the total so far this year.
