Parking Services are responsible for on-street parking issues across the city, particularly parking enforcement. We aim to make driving and parking in Manchester as trouble-free as possible for all road users. We aim to keep roads clear of vehicles parked in contravention. Bus lanes, loading bays, taxi ranks, disabled bays, junctions and school entrances will also be given a high priority, thereby improving safety and easing congestion. Manchester City Council employs a contractor, NCP to ensure this happens and its parking attendants play a vital role in keeping traffic moving. Parking Services are also responsible for city centre off-street car parking with our joint venture partners NCP, we have created a separate company called NCP (Manchester) Limited to operate some of the city centre car parks.
