人们坐在一起闲聊，天南地北，说长道短的，传播流言蜚语，这是很普遍的一种活动。英语中有好多成语和俗语是形容这一方面的。例如to shoot the breeze。To shoot就是发射、开枪、发炮等，breeze就是阵阵微风。To shoot the breeze这个短语使人脑子里出现了一幅画面，也就是：一些好朋友没事聚在一起闲聊天，毫无顾忌地想说什么就说什么。下面我们来听听一个大学生说他昨晚在干什么：On Friday nights I usually go to a movie. But it was raining so hard last night I just stayed in the dorm to sit around and shoot the breeze with a couple of friends.一般来说, 星期五晚上我总是去看电影的。可是, 昨晚上雨下得好大呀，所以我就呆在宿舍里和两个朋友一起聊天。

Chocolate Therapy[巧克力疗法]

Your choice of chocolate can reveal a lot about your personality, psychologists say.

According to New Zealand psychotherapist Murray Langham, the choice of a chocolate's shape and filling reveals a lot about a person's personality traits and mood.

Milk chocolate lovers tend to be innocent people who like to live in the past. Fans of dark chocolate are materialistic problem solvers who are excited by the future. White chocolate aficionados have an innate sense of fairness and believe they have the power of the universe at their command.

Langham says he got this idea after noticing that many of his patients enjoyed a close relationship with chocolate.

The choice of filling and shape also reveals much about one's personality and state of mind. For instance, lovers of oval-shaped chocolates are social and sensual. Those who prefer a coffee filling are open-minded, but also impatient, anxious and immature.

故事在Dido的笔下娓娓道来，又被她演绎得如此到位。她的声音时而明亮，时而低沉，略带沙哑，再加上极富女人味的心境，使这首歌成为天籁之音。

歌手简介

五岁那年为了音乐偷了生平第一台录音机，六岁时进入Guildhall School of Music（伦敦盖德霍尔音乐学校）学习音乐，十岁已经精通钢琴和小提琴的演奏——这就是Dido，英国一位创作才女。

干净，明亮，带着依依不舍的深情…… 歌曲从凄美的开始到壮烈的诀别，把即将失去恋人的那种失落和渴望、得到而得不到的痛苦，表现得淋漓尽致。歌中略带沙哑的合唱部分更是唱出了不忍分离的深情。

“Thank you”是Dido第一张专辑“No Angel”的成名作。专辑中，除了她哥哥Rollo等人的部分制作，歌曲创作几乎由Dido一人独自完成。一年后，说唱天王Eminem采样“Thank You”，创作了2001年格莱美奖的压轴曲“Stan”。

Dido原名Florian Cloud De Bounevialle Armstrong，1971年出生于英国伦敦，从小就和出色的舞曲制作人、哥哥Rollo一起参与录制音乐唱片的工作。最初，Dido在哥哥的电子乐队Faithless中客串女主唱，之后她被签约到Aristat旗下，她的第一张唱片传承了Faithless的一贯理念——融合了流行，爵士，民谣，电子音乐等多种元素，呈现了古典与现代交织的多样风情。
