Love at first sight 的意思是一见钟情，也指第一次見面便恋上对方。下面是一个关于一见钟情的例句：  
George loves Louisa at first sight for her eye-catching appearance and friendly manner.
由于路易莎那极为吸引的外貌和友善的态度，乔治第一眼便爱上了她。
此外，Love at first sight 除了可当名词短语用之外，也可以当动词用，比如：
I loved him at first sight. 我对他一见钟情。
另外，和此相关的成语有：Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder。爱情是没法解释的，因而有一见钟情这回事，尽管对方是没有美貌，甚或是品德极差的，你也可能恋上对方，这就是“情人眼里出西施”，即 Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

It's World War II. The Germans have conquered Europe. Britain's best hope? The Royal Homing Pigeon Service (RHPS), and a pint-sized pigeon named Valiant (voice of Ewan McGregor). Valiant wants to do his part to help England. Although he's clumsy and small, he's got a fighting spirit, and is determined to get into the RHPS.

The RHPS has had many casualties, so Valiant is able to convince the powers-that-be to let him join F squad. After a period of intense training, Valiant teams up with Bugsy (Ricky Gervais), a fly-ridden con artist who enlists only to escape a couple of his angry victims; Lofty (Pip Torrens), an upper-class birdbrain; meatheads Toughwood and Tailfeather (Brian Lonsdale and Dan Roberts); and the heroic squadron leader, Gutsy (Hugh Laurie). They are chosen for a very important mission: picking up a secret message from the French Resistance fighters in preparation for an Allied landing at Normandy. Why was F Squad, made up of misfits, selected? Squads A through E are already dead, victims of the German falcons under Von Talon (Tim Curry).

With that background, the group heads off to France. Von Talon has a pigeon in custody, who has already told the Germans details of Valiant's mission. Find out if Valiant and his gang of oddballs evade Von Talon and deliver the message to London in time. Don't miss "Valiant."
