Closing my eyes to feel the emptiness of my heart
I hear a voice whispering, "The last thing you'd do is to give up."
In these days
Stretching my hands to touch the darkness of my soul
I feel the chill of a long-gone peace
In these days
Taking a deep breath to smell the freshness of my hope
I see a beam of light shining to the edge of my universe

In these days
Wearing a torn jean
Striding through the crowds 
I see those earning a plain life
In these days
Carrying a ragged bag
Squeezing into the packed buses
I see those hurrying to the next stop
No one cares who I am
And I don't care who they are

In these days
It's been scorching and hot
The thunder can not tear me apart
On the way to their destiny
Nobody is ever slow and nobody is ever fast
