莽昆仑汉诗英译-Translation of Mao poem
Note: 近日大湖急雪. 世人有聚印尼谈论气候，故有所感;也与大家助兴，想看看手迹，却一时无处寻! When it snows, when I drove through the country road, let the hills and lands in white passes; I felt something in me, then， the rhythms and stuff came.
横空出世，
莽昆仑，
阅尽人间春色。
飞起玉龙三百万，
搅得周天寒彻。
夏日消溶，
江河横溢，
人或为鱼鳖。
千秋功罪，
谁人曾与评说？
Kun-Lun” sketches the sky
so rough, rude, and flight
like snow dragons arrive,
mountains mighty in white
freeze like arctic, but
floods in warmer times
turns human back to fish when it rides
argues the thousand-year’s virtues and crimes
or who decide?
而今我谓昆仑：
不要这高，
不要这多雪。
安得倚天抽宝剑，
把汝裁为三截？
一截遗欧，
一截赠美，
一截还东国。
太平世界，
环球同此凉热。
But I say:
no more snow
no more high
give back the sword of mine
cut thy in three parts
one give to Europe
gift America, another
leave one China, alive
may peace arrive
keep the globe same high,
let it be nice, a climate.
