Mr. Bluebird lives and works in Chengdu. He wears many hats in his workplace--a translator, computer database administrator, project evaluator, stats analyst, and he also runs errands such as escorting visiting foreigners to project sites and tourist attractions.

Bluebird is a dedicated learner of English as a second language. He loves to train himself in the five aspects of language skill—reading, listening, speaking, writing and translating. He has been writing online in English since 2004. He has also done a lot of translation practices, both for commercial purpose and for his personal interest. He is also enthusiastic in building up his vocabulary. He possesses in his pride a large number of electronic dictionaries, which he often uses to learn words. He enjoys this ardent style of English learning.

Besides English, Bluebird loves computer, too. He is familiar with a good number of common computer application programs. He taught himself Microsoft Access a few years ago and has configured, designed and programmed an Access-based database application for his employer. The more he explores into the fascinating world of computer, the more excited and fulfilled he becomes. Currently, he is almost obsessed with the technology of High Definition Movies, both encoding and decoding technology. He also keeps a large variety of movie titles on his home computers.

Bluebird loves to make friends, especially those who share his hobbies. He likes singing, Chinese Chess (he can't go to sleep without playing it a few rounds every day), table tennis, mountain-climbing, cycling, reading, and music. Among all these side-hobbies (he believes that hobbies that are not related to learning and growing are minor ones), he loves chess the most. He thinks that playing chess is a good way to stimulate his thinking, and cultivate his wisdom.

Bluebird is typically of the type of persons that stay more indoors than go out. He looks forward to more reasons to go out, so that he could stop grounding himself home every day. He knows it is better to go out but he just does not see good reasons to break out of his shabby and yet cozy home. He is quite a sincere and down-to-earth personality. He believes that accountability and integrity are not only good for an enterprise, they are indispensable to an individual. He opens his heart and soul to embrace friendship. He is always ready to learn from others, while he also loves to contribute where and when appropriate.
