US Golfer Defends Buick Title

   The American golfer Phil Nichelson has successfully defended his title at the Buick Invitational tournament in California. The event led to a three-way play-off but it wasn’t an impressive finish. Davis Love was eliminated on the second extra hole leaving Nichelson and Frank Lickliter in the playoff. Nichelson looked to have thrown it away when he hooked his tee shot into the trees but his rival then did exactly the same. Nichelson made another mistake at the same hole and Lickliter had a chance for his first title but he sent his      bogey putt past the hole and missed the return as well to hand Nichelson the title for the third time.    2gT中国英语学习网
